So many cases of abuse abounded and I wondered if the youth were better off at home. Dysfunctional homes or dysfunctional foster homes. Blech! Glad I got out before I lost what little sanity I had left. posted by: tbt (reply) post date: 11.08.05 (5:03 pm) Reply to: swanktrendz i blame you not at all. not sure where the solution is hiding, but i suspect the pocket-pickers in dc are responsible for usa troubles. funny thing about the states: there is a relatively large pot of money for this sort of thing--larger than most under-priv. groups get. somehow it doesnt filter down, though tbt posted by: PastorDave (reply) post date: 02.02.06 (6:53 pm) With such a long and thoughtful piece, I hate to be shallow in my response, but here it is. Since you begin with a couple of Bill Murray movies, would you not think "What About Bob" to be a very funny picture, worthy of at least a mention? I've watched it many times, and always have been thoroughly entertained. I guess I can identify with the anal-retentive therapist, and wish I were more like Bob. Funny movie. posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 02.03.06 (2:37 am) Something's weird with your blog. There are some posts missing and when you click on the "cooment" link for today the post above is your Ghostwriter's Slur... weird. I came here to comment on the post form a couple of days ago that I've been thinking about but just haven't had time to comment on thoughtfully. And it's not here! Funny I was with a friend last night watching "A Mighty Wind" and "Best in Show." I'm a fan of that whole bunch. Christopher Guest is a clever man. I thought your list was pretty much dead on. I'm looking forward to Steve Martin taking on the Pink Panther roles. I think Kevin Kline plays the Chief Inspector Dryfess (sp?) role, which reminds me of another favorite comedy. "A Fish Called Wanda." I hope you repost the missing stuff. I'm sorry I've been occupied the last couple of days. Kind of annoying actually. |
